DBL Reunion 2026: Celebrating 100 Years of Salesian Legacy in Kolkata

A Grand “Back to School” Homecoming Unites Alumni Across Generations

Don Bosco Alumni Liluah (DBL) successfully organised REUNION 2026 – Back to School, a memorable homecoming celebration held on Sunday, 18 January 2026, at the Don Bosco School, Liluah campus. The event brought together ex-students from the 1970 batch to the present day, creating an atmosphere filled with nostalgia, camaraderie, and pride in the enduring values of the Salesian mission.

Reunion Dedicated to a Century of Salesian Presence in Kolkata

Addressing the gathering, the President of DBL announced that Reunion 2026 was dedicated to the centenary of the Salesian presence in Kolkata. Exactly 100 years ago, on 11 November 1925, three Salesian priests arrived at Howrah Station carrying the dream of St John Bosco—a mission that has since transformed thousands of lives through education, empowerment, and social service.

The sprawling Don Bosco School, Liluah campus warmly welcomed alumni who travelled from across India and overseas, rekindling memories with former classmates and teachers.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Biswanath Trivedi expressed heartfelt gratitude to Amit Agarwal (Batch of 1993) for his instrumental role in shaping Reunion 2026.

“When we approached Amit to honour him for his achievements, we also sought his guidance to make the reunion bigger and more meaningful. His suggestion to recognise women achievers transformed the event. With unanimous support from the committee, ‘Empowering Women’ and the ‘DBL Achievers Awards’ were incorporated, making this one of the most impactful reunions in DBL history,” said Trivedi.
