India’s captain, Rohit Sharma, etched his name in cricket history by becoming the second-highest six-hitter in One-Day Internationals during the second ODI against England in Cuttack on Sunday.

Rohit, who was tied with Chris Gayle at 331 sixes before the match, broke the record with a towering six over midwicket off Gus Atkinson in just the second over of India’s chase.

While Shahid Afridi holds the top spot with 351 sixes in 398 ODI innings, Rohit has now hit 332 sixes in just 259 innings, showcasing his incredible consistency and power-hitting ability.

Notably, Rohit Sharma is also the leading six-hitter across all formats, with an astonishing 624 sixes combined in T20Is, ODIs, and Tests. Additionally, he tops the T20I charts with 205 sixes in 151 innings.
